Paul Gilbert


RRECG Partner Paul Gilbert also serves as Senior Managing Director of RREIC. For both organizations, he has helped formulate and execute overall strategic direction and the investment process, taking the lead role in negotiating a number of large, complex transactions in multiple sectors. Prior joining RREIC upon its inception in 2001, Mr. Gilbert worked for several private real estate companies in the Philadelphia area. Mr. Gilbert holds an M.B.A. in real estate and finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an undergraduate degree from Yale University.
David Reiner


With 30 years of commercial real estate investment experience, David B. Reiner is a Partner with RRECG and a Managing Director of RREIC. Prior to joining RREIC, Mr. Reiner served as Managing Director with Grosvenor Investment Management U.S. (GIM), where he was responsible for fund management, including a dedicated residential investment fund. Before that, Mr. Reiner was a Managing Director of Legg Mason Real Estate Investors, Inc. Mr. Reiner serves as Chairman of the Board of Frontyard Residential Corporation (RESI:NYSE), a publicly traded REIT that owns single-family rental properties across the U.S. He was a founding board member of Home Loan Servicing Solutions LTD (HLSS: NASDAQ) from 2012 until its sale in 2015, and also served on the board of Ocwen Financial Corporation (OCN: NYSE) from 2009 to 2012. Mr. Reiner received his B.A. degree from the University of South Carolina and his J.D. from George Mason University. He has completed graduate work at The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy (Tufts University) and the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. He is a member of the DC Bar.
Mike Flynn


Michael D. Flynn, CPA is a Partner with RRECG as well as Chief Financial Officer and Controller of RREIC. Mr. Flynn served as a commissioned officer in the United States Marine Corps from 1984 to 1988. He earned a B.B.A. degree from Notre Dame University and an M.S.B.A. from Boston University. From 1988 to 1997, Mr. Flynn earned his CPA while working as an auditor and consultant for Thomas Havey LLP, an accounting and consulting firm serving numerous institutional and pension fund clients. From 1997 to 2000, Mr. Flynn served as assistant global controller for ICS-Deloitte Consulting, later returning to Thomas Havey LLP as Senior Manager, Consulting Service.
John Hay

Managing Director

John A. Hay is a Managing Director of both RRECG and RREIC. He has over 25 years of experience in the real estate industry including development, financing, and acquisitions, having participated in over $2 billion of real estate investments. Prior to joining RREIC, Mr. Hay served as Managing Director for the Mid-Atlantic and Chief Financial Officer for the East Region of Alliance Residential, one of the largest apartment developers in the U.S. Before that, he was responsible for raising capital for Alliance’s multifamily development projects. Earlier in his career, Mr. Hay was with KeyBank Real Estate Capital, where he was involved in transactions exceeding $1 billion of equity, mezzanine debt, and bridge loan financing for residential and commercial projects. He also oversaw a $100 million commingled opportunity fund that focused on distressed residential investments throughout the U.S. Mr. Hay received a B.E. degree electrical engineering and mathematics from Vanderbilt University and an M.B.A. in finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
